CAMP SCHEDULE
Half-Day Camp is comprised of (2) sessions: Session I (10am -1pm) and Session II (2:30pm -5:30pm). Each session is limited to 18 students as students are separated into (2) groups of 9 with 1 instructor per group to allow for social distancing. Each activity is 30-35minutes with group rotation so students explore each activity. Unique activities for each session.

DANCE ALONG
This session is a movement icebreaker to explore fun ways to self generate and stay active with just a song and a two-step. Fun, uptempo, easy to learn movement. All levels of movers will enjoy learning the camp dance. Themes: fun, fitness, creativity, active lifestyle, self-care
Social Distance Measures:
Face guard provided for all participants . Personal face towel required. 3 chairs -distance between each student. No touching. Hand wash required after class for each student.
NATURE + ART
Students learn the beauty of nature and tiny steps they can take conserve energy while creating their own masterpiece of art. Class includes all supplies and their completed artwork - a family keepsake :) Themes: cerebral, nature, art, creativity, empathy

SPOKEN WORDS
Students practice their creative writing and using their voice in the Spoken Word session. Students will be given a prompt of inspiration to write their very own poem or short story. The session transforms into an open mic session where students share with the group. Parents will be sent a private sign-in link to watch their child's performance. Themes: using voice as a tool for change, creativity, nature, confidence-building, showcase

FIRE, GUNS & HURRICANES
Session I Focus: Fire & Gun Safety | Session II Focus: Fire & Hurricane Safety

Fire Safety: Students learn the basic of fire safety, the power of fire, and making delicious S'Mores (vegan option available).
Gun safety is taught by a licensed professional to teach kids what to do if they see a gun. Students can also take the safe society pledge. Students will also have the option to 'shoot' in our target zones. No real guns are used for this session.

Hurricane & Tornadoes: Students infuse themselves in an interactive science project to learn about natural storms that dominate South Florida and how to prepare for Hurricane season.
Themes: safety skills, real world skills, preparation, and creative expression, accident prevention, crime prevention

students are eyes-on hands-off for majority of this activity. Masks required for all participants. 2 chairs distance between each student. New gloves provided at each station. new supply kit per student provided, where applicable.
URBAN GARDENING
T'is the season to learn to plant and grow your own food. Students will learn how to pot plants, which edible foods grow fastest and easiest in Floridian climate, and how to create a lush potted garden with almost anything. Students will seed their own plant as a take-home to care for along with a plant list and seeds to jumpstart the family garden at home.
Themes: self-reliance, sustainability, nature, earth, food, harvesting, resourcefulness
