MUCE Youth Tools Program
The MUCE Youth Tools Program merges art, design, and practical skill-building to empower young people through creativity and craftsmanship. Participants learn how to safely use power tools like drills, saws, and hammers while designing and building artistic, functional pieces such as furniture, murals, and installations. Each project becomes a form of creative expression and storytelling, using construction as a canvas to explore identity, culture, and community. Through this blend of art and trade, youth gain confidence, problem-solving skills, and artistic empowerment, building not just with their hands, but with purpose and imagination.
Miami Dade Arts & Culture: $2.1 Billion Annual Economic Impact

In a region where South Florida’s creative and construction sectors contribute over $12.1 billion to the local economy, it’s essential that our community has the skills to take part in that growth. MUCE’s hands-on training empowers both youth and adults to turn creativity into craftsmanship and craftsmanship into opportunity. By developing practical and artistic trade skills, participants are better prepared to enter the workforce, support local industries, and help shape the cultural and economic future of their neighborhoods.
