About The Event
Welcome to "Legacy: Past, Present, and Future," a visionary exploration of Haiti's potential unencumbered by corruption and outside interference. In this exhibition, we dare to imagine the Haiti of today where the shackles of colonialist regimes have been cast off, and the country's resources and labor are utilized for the benefit of its people.
Picture a Haiti where education is freely accessible to all, and essential services like telecommunications and healthcare are affordable for every citizen. Today, as we stand in solidarity with our people, we acknowledge our privilege of living in the United States, while honoring the trailblazers like Father Jean Juste and others who paved the way for us.
Through the lens of Azizi Desouza, our talented artist, we envision a Haiti untouched by foreign corruption and domestic strife. Once hailed as the Pearl of the Antilles, we see a nation where our children can thrive—play, live, and learn without fear or limitation.
